Happy Easter!!

This weekend was GREAT!! Although, Georgia was gone, she was home by 3pm on Sunday, so we got to spend most of the day together. Bella napped for what it seemed all day!! I was anxiously awaiting for her to wake up so we could see what the Easter Bunny left her. She loved all of her goodies and she especially loved the little plastic eggs. On Friday, daycare said she was the only baby who was able to open them up... she's sooo strong! Here's their baskets... I'm not sure if Georgia will ever be too old for an Easter Basket.

While Georgia's not a big fan of candy, shocker, I know.. She got some perfume that she's been wanting, so she was super happy!

Bella was wearing her Bunny Ears and she was so cute trying to look up to see them...

Ok, so I'm not very good at posting the pictures just yet... I'll get the hang of it soon.

I promised myself I would update my blog and Keep it that Way!

So, today my Baby Bella is 8 months old and I haven't really kept up any kind of documentation on my sweet baby's growth, milestones and happenings. I tell myself all the time that I AM GOING TO DO THIS CONSISTENTLY!!!

Where to begin?... 8 whole months have flown by! She's flying off of the charts at over 20lbs already and has 3 teeth, 2 on the bottom and one that just popped through on the top. I had all of her stats on my phone, but then it died and I lost it all. I'm going to have to have her pediatrician give me a copy of it so I can record it in her baby book, which I haven't been diligent about keeping up either.

Bella is trying so hard to crawl!! She rocks back and forth, puts an arm forward and then plops down on her belly, but I know she's going to get it any day now.

Pictures... I have tons of pictures, but they're all on my camera card. I'll have to do a photo dump once I get them off of my card.

Now, as far as keeping up with this here blog, I should write like I would a journal, right? I just feel like I have so much that I haven't kept up with that I wish I could turn back time and start over, so I don't feel like I have to cram a year's worth of memories into one post but for now, I'll just pretend that I haven't skipped a beat...

So, it's been 4 months since my last, first and only post. I'm hoping it gets easier to find time to sit down and record some of my daily happenings.

I had my baby girl on August 25, 2010. She was 7lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. Her name is Isabella Grace James. She is the prettiest baby I've ever seen and I'm not saying that cause I'm her momma.. She really is!!!

I wish I would have kept up writing while she was brand new, so I could have more details. I'll just summarize up to current time.

The last night in the hospital, I decided to keep Bella in the nursery so I could sleep. The next morning the Pediatrician came in and told me that in the middle of the night her breathing was very rapid causing some concern and they wanted to run tests and take x-rays to find out what was causing it.

Her x-rays showed a tiny spot on her lungs and they thought it might be a touch of pneumonia (another doctor said that it wasn't any concern) I'd rather them err on the side of caution. They did blood work and the results came back fine, so they did a spinal tap to check for other signs of infection. Her white blood cells came back a little high which indicated she might have had an onset of infection. They didn't know what it was but they were going to put her on 2 types of antibiotics for 5 days. This meant she had to stay in the hospital during that time. It broke my heart not to have her home with me, so after I was released from the hospital on Friday, I was back up there on Saturday and checked myself in as her primary caretaker. It was no fun to be stuck in a hospital room for 5 days... I wanted my baby home!!

All is well and fine now, she's doing great!!

It's About Time

I've been a blog reader for sooo long for so many blogs and have this strong desire to start my own. I'm always so envious to see other blogs and how it appears there is always something interstering discussed, points made, daily updates on family happenings or just pretty pictures.

I feel somewhat intimidated starting one because I don't know where to begin, what to say, etc... not to mention a blog name, url, layout and all that jazz. I guess the first step is to put something out there and hopefully it will come together in due time. I'm tired of feeling like the kid in the corner feeling left out because I'm choosing to be shy and not participating.. not to mention, I want something to keep my family updated and for my children to look back on.

Plus, the blogging community seems so welcoming and encouraging... So, Blog World, Here I Come!!!

My name is Kathy and I live in a small southern town with my wonderful husband and the greatest daughter I could ask for. My daughter, Georgia, is almost 12 and I'm expecting my 2nd daughter in 2 months and we're all sooo very excited! She's going to be a tremendous help and can't wait to be a big sister.
